Stampin' Up! Promotions

Paper clips!!
(January 28, 2011)

During the last few stamp clubs, I have handed out 2 or 3 items.  The girls in my stamp club are suppose to bring these items back with them at the next club meeting.  We meet once a month.  For this month, I handed out large paper clips.  Each month, I'm eager to see what they've done with the item I handed out.  Here's what Marsha and Kellie did with the paper clips!

Kellie made a card and matching paper clip.  I thought it was pretty clever and cute, don't you?

Marsha made a cute Valentine bookmark.  Simple and cute!

Next month 2 of my clubbers will be bringing back cd tins.  I can't wait to see what they've done with them.  If you're a Stampin' Up! demo and have clubs, this is a great way to get your clubbers active and use their imaginations.  You'll never know what they come up with and it's exciting!

My friends cards...

My friends cards....

(January 28, 2011)

Now first of all, I need to be totally upfront with and tell you that these cards are not my creations.  These cards are from some really special friends of mine.  Some I've met in real life and others I've just met in cyvber-space.  Still, over the last couple of years, they have proven to like me for who and what I am!  Now that's some special friends!!  Let me show you some of their cards!!

This card above and below were created by my friend Trina Caraway.  Trina (aka Pepesmom) has a blog called Stamps and Whiskers.  Be sure to take a minute and visit her blog.  I know she would love to hear what you think about her projects.

The card above was created by my friend Janice Adams aka Doxiejan on Stampin Addicts.  I love the clean style of this card!  Be sure to visit Janice's gallery on Stampin Addicts.

This card above is striking to me.  It was created by my friend Mary Rindal.  She used a technique called emerging color which I think is so cool.  I know Mary would love to know what you think of this card.  Please visit Mary (aka MaryR)  on her Stampin Addicts gallery.

And...this last card was created by my friend Sara Kobe.  Love, love this stamp set.  I don't know if you can tell, but I think she used dazzling diamonds for the frosting on the cupcakes.  Pretty cute, huh?  Please tell Sara how much you love this card.  You can visit Sara (aka Inkymom) on her gallery at Stampin Addicts.

Today's post

Be sure to check out my Stamping Projects page today because I've posted several new cards.  Hopefully, this weekend I'll more time to create with my girls.  Such a fun time making memories!  Both Jessica and Gracie love to stamp, even if they have totally different styles.  I'm hoping to get them involved in making thank you cards.  We'll see and you'll know if I carry thru with this plan simply because I'll post their cards!

So for now, be sure to go check out my Stampin Projects page!!!  Oh and before I forget, I also posted 2 new items on the Paper Crafts page.  These 2 items were projects given to my stamp club girls to bring back to club totally decorated.  Check it out!

Early Morning Projects

(January 22, 2011)

So, here are those early morning projects!  I think the ladies that came had a great time....  I hope.  When preparing for this event, I just grabbed 3 or 4 stamp pads, 3 colors of cardstock, 2 or 3 stamp sets and some older DSP.  It wasn't a formal event at all.  I even cut paper right in front of them as we chatted. The ladies requested 3 different techniques for them to show me.  Here we go...

1) Water Coloring.  I showed the ladies water coloring just by using the lid of the classic stamp pad and explained that refill inks could be used.  I explained the differences in the aqua painter vs. the blender pens.  We ended up using the Water Color Crayons and a combination of the blender pens and aqua painters.  I also explained why Stazon was needed instead of the classic stamp pad.'s that card.  Now remember, the colors and stamp set was grabbed out of my basement.  The stamp set is an older stamp set.

2) Two Step Stamping.  We tried same colors that we used in the water color.  It has a totally different look.  For the stamp set, I grabbed Bud Blossoms from my basement and ran up the stairs.  We used the stamp-a-majig, but when all was said and done, we like visually placing the object the best.  So here's that project.

3. Dahlia fold.  Not even stamping related.  Just fun!  Now remember, this event was all about learning.  So....with that said, we all practiced 3 dahlia folds and simply placed them on a 3x3 card.

A card from my friend

A card from my friend...

(January 27, 2011)
This is a card that I received in a card swap.  My sweet friend Kim Bolzenthal is the creator.  Kim has really been such a sweet, yet unexpected blessing to me.  My girls know her as "my friend, who send us presents".  See, every time I do a swap with Kim, she always as a little something special for Jessica and Gracie.  And...for the most part, when you make girls smile or make them happy, you have made a place in my heart.  So my sweet friend Kim, will always have a special place in my heart!

I would love it if you would take just a moment of your time and visit Kim's blog.  Her blog address is  or here's the link.  Take just a second make a sweet comment on one of her cards.

So, here's the card she sent me in her last swap...

Pretty as a flower....
(January 25, 2011)

I always wondered exactly how to make those pretty brooches that I saw at Leadership. We'll I don't know that I did it the same way as those ladies, but I did figure out how to make one.  Only mine is out of DSP and not fabric.  I also used a new punch called Blossom Petal Punch instead of the Big Shot.  You can find this punch on page 12 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I just got the petal cone and I've fallen completely in love with it!! When I saw it, I knew I had to have it.  It's available in the Mini Occasions catalog through April 4.  I can think of several ways  to  use this die.  Wouldn't it be cute stuffed with Valentine treats for your child's class?  Well, Valentine's Days is just around the corner, but today...I stuffed it with cherry ice cream!  Now, I've just to eat it before it melts!!

Sweet Card

This is card that I found on the Stampin' Up! website that I absolutely love!  So what do think?  Cute huh?

Early this morning...

I had a few ladies come over to my house and we went over a few stamping techniques.  During clubs, it's sometimes a little difficult to go over the details because there is so much going on.  Because a few ladies wanted to know more about a particular product, I decided I would host a early morning get together.

While working on the techniques, we had coffee, cokes and coffee cake.  The coffee cake was completely yummy and my thighs thanked me!  So what did we work on?  Click the Stamping Projects tab at the top of the page (it's a tab) and visit a minute.

A Free Starter Kit -- Are you ready to take the plunge?

This was my first Stampin' Up! Leadership and it was so worthy working towards this goal qualifying for Leadership.  Nothing would please me more except to be able to have you join me!

It seems as all thru our lives we're always working toward goals.  I'm talking goals, like paying off a credit card, finishing a term paper, raising our children with strong moral values, saving money for a vacation, losing weight or exercising so that we can become healthier.  Everyone of these goals seems to have a desired result.

For my business goal, I would love to see one new recuit by this Friday.  To help me earn that one new recruit, I have a free Stampin' Up! starter kit to give away.  Just one starter kit though.  If you are interested in receiving that starter kit from me, just simply email me and tell me why you think I should pick you to become my new recruit and why you should get the new starter kit.  By obtaining this starter kit, you too could work towards the goal of attending Leadership and enjoy all the new friendships, the free goodies and the satisfaction of reaching a goal.

So what comes in that starter kit....take a peek.
And....we're talking this is free for one special person.  So the question is, do you feel special?

The finished product using the stamp set ________

(January 20, 2011)

Okay, so here's the finished product from our scrapbook club.  When I very first started this page all I could think was yuck!  So...I just kept plugging away and finally I had to stop.  I could easily see where more embellishments and bling would totally rock these 2 pages.  I was thinking, let's add a little dazzling diamonds, a little white embossing, more glitter brads more sponging, on and on.  I really had to stop myself.  After all these ladies at scrapbook club do have families to go home to or jobs the next day! Scrapbook club is suppose last for approximately 2 hours now all crazy night long.

For our scrapbook club, we sit around my table in the kitchen.  There's only 6 of us so we can do that.  You see, my table is big, very big and it sits pretty comfortable.  The thing I love about my scrapbook club ladies is the closeness.  It's just the 6 of us so we talk.  We really talk!  Oh, but we scrap too!!  Enough rambling....

Now here's a trick for you!  If you can name the stamp set (the word SNOW) that I used in the scrapbook page below, I'll send you some yummy blog candy!

So, now that you've seen our January scrapbook club project, tell me what you think.  Of course, you'll have to tell me on my home page!!!  Oh...and don't forget to tell me what stamp set the word "SNOW" (in the picture) is in and I'll send you some yummy blog candy!

Sew Suite

Our stamp club meets every 2nd Monday night of the month.  However, the schedule club for January had to be canceled because of the crazy snow.  Can you believe all this snow in Chattanooga?  Good grief!  Anyway, we are having to do a make-up stamp club and it is scheduled for tomorrow night or 1/20/2011.

Below are just 2 of the little projects that we are planning to do.  Both cards are super simple. The first one below demonstrates the dalhia fold.  It's a very easy fold and resembles a flower with the perfect embellishments.  Both cards feature the Sew Suite family of goodies!

This second card was just plain fun!  I love, love, love the colors that I chose and the stamp set Sew Suite.  There's something that's nostaligic about this stamp set.  When I play with this set, it reminds me of seeing my mom or grandma sewingon their sewing machines.  It's a wonderful, wonderful memory that I'll always hold close to my heart.

Check out my bag!

I know...I're probably tired of me talking about Leadership.  I'm just so stoked!!!  I didn't tell you what all I got at Leadership, so here goes.  First of all, I got this really, really cute handbag!  It's awesome and on the inside is a Stampin' Up! rubber stamp.  Now how cool is that for a label.  Oh and scroll on down to see my angel Gracie modeling!

I'll be sure to post some more goodies tomorrow!  For now though, be sure to to to Stamping Projects to see a few cards from my Stampin' Addict sisters!!

Cropping at my house...

Cropping at my house...
(January 17, 2011)

Last night was Scrapbook club at my house.  One of my clubbers posted on Facebook that it was theraputic.  WOW!  I was so happy to see that she found it relaxing and theraputic.   While we were in mid-stream, I took a picture of the table.  Oh so messy!!!  Tomorrow, I'll post the finished product.  But...just so you can see the project in works, here's snapshot!

Leadership Dinner and Swaps

Well, sweet Kandi Williams was so kind to arrange our picture to be taken and share the picture.  Now, I had never met Kandi before, but I felt I like I knew her.  Turns out she's on Stampin' Addicts and uses the the screen name Kandicejo.  You should take a second and check out Kandi's blog at

We never made it to dinner as planned, but that's okay.  The idea was for all of us to meet and greet over dinner and swap our cards/3D objects.  Dinner didn't happen because there was an hour wait at the restaurant and our schedule just didn't allow time.  You see, we needed to be on time for make n' takes at the Gathering Place.  Nobody wanted to be late because there was a chance you might miss a door prize drawing.  Stampin' Up! called the door prizes, Prize Patrol. enough gabbing.  Here's that picture of us standing on the stairs at the Gaylord (Opryland) Hotel.

A Free Starter Kit!!!!

A Free Starter Kit....

And here's what comes in that free kit!!!  This picture was taken on one of the walls at Leadership. Are you game?

Stampin' Up! Leadership 2011

Oh my!  Ladies, this was my first trip to Leadership and I had a total blast!!!  To attend this event, you need to be a Senoir Supervisor or above.  If there's room after all the Sr. Supervisor's and above have registered, then it's open for more demonstrator's to register.  I would love to see more of my friends be able to attend this event because it's...well, like I said, a total blast.  Plus, there is so much to learn, so many projects to see and so much information.  At the end of the day, you are completely mentally exhausted.  So, you need to check out the special on tomorrow's blog if you are interested in going to Leadership with me.  I promise, you won't be sorry.

Here's just some shots of Leadership.  Leadership was held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gaylord (aka Opryland) Hotel.  Check out just a few of the pictures of this amazing hotel.  Don't you wish you could've been there?????

This picture was taken in the Governor's Ballroom at the Gaylord (Opryland) Hotel.  I believe this was taken on day 1 of Leadership.  This is a huge ballroom and it was totally packed.  There were more than 1,000 demos in attendance.  Oh....and look who is on the big screen!  It's Shellie!

In this picture is Crissy, she's a great friend and we had a wonderful time hanging out together.  She's just one of those gals that is really comfortable to be around.

And, this is Paige.  Paige is my upline.  I had been in Paige's club for about 4 years and all of the sudden it hit me. hit me like a ton of stamps!  It just all the sudden hit me that Paige is really loving what she's doing and I am too.  So, what was stopping me from signing as a demo?  After all, I had tons of stamps and other Stampin' Up! products.  What a better way to put them to really good use!  Oh... and Paige, she's fantastic! Can you believe, out of 1,000 demos that were at this event, we found each other?  WOW!
